Domestic Adoption Services
Families wishing to be considered for an agency placement of a healthy white infant must have a current home study and complete a "Pool Application." When a birth parent decides to place her child for adoption, she selects a family from families in the Pool. PLEASE NOTE: This program is NOT a waiting list and not all families in the Pool will be selected for placement. Pauquette Children’s Services strongly encourages families in the Pool to also consider international and independent adoption. The fee for a Pool placement is generally $14,500.00 plus the agency service fee of $3,000.00.
Wesley Eddie African-American, Bi-racial, and Hispanic infants are available through several out-of-state agencies with whom we work. Generally, the wait for an infant in this program is from one to six months for an African-American child, three to twelve months for a Bi-racial child, and one to two years for a Hispanic child. Costs vary depending upon the agency with which we work and, in some cases, the adoptive parents’ income.
Pauquette provides home studies, post-placement services, birth parent counseling, foster care, and court testimony for independent adoptions. An hourly fee is charged and the adoptive parents usually also pay the medical costs for the birth mother and baby, foster care, legal fees, and up to $1,000.00 for emergency expenses. In the event that the independent adoption does not result in an adoption, the adoptive parents can use their home study in our international or domestic programs or for another possible independent adoption. Agency time spent on subsequent independent adoption attempts will be billed at an hourly rate.
